the publics: you think that is next level, holy shit, you're like 3 steps behind aren't you? hahahahahah not to disparage nic's fit, which is perfectly nice and "current level"
somtimes you dont do justice to vancouverites dressed well, if someone from another city saw this site they would say "do they not distribute international magazines in vancouver and or sell anything except for urban behaviour there?"
I agree with mila, I see so many gorgeously dresses men and women downtown, yet they never end up on this blog. The ppl that i see on this blog are the same people i see on http://hereiham.blogspot.com or www.halfalive.ca...or even that lindsay girl with her Lindsay's Diet website...you gotta stop aiming to only blog the photos of so called hipster rock or hispter chic fashion. Try reaching a new level in the people you, spot maybe walk around in new locations such as yaletown or burrard's financial district. Maybe walk around the law courts and spot out well dressed lawyer/banker men and women who might resemble the likes of the sartorialist? Anyway, the act is getting old....you need to stream higher. Also get a better camera and post more...especially if you are really passionate about this blog!
Hey what's up commodified? I miss your photos -- need more images. Let the rest of the people do their blah, blah, blah -- just feed me pretty pictures.
I agree with the above posting. Surely you can find some other versions of street fashion happening in Vancouver without resorting to cliche twentysomething hipsters wearing something outside of the thrift store/Urban Outfitters/American Apparel troika in their usual habitat of Gastown or Main Street?
I think it would be great if you went into different neighbourhoods (Davie Street, Richmond, east Vancouver) to see if there's something else out there. Also, yes to a sartorial spotlight. It would be nice to see photographs of something different.
That old lady in her rain coat that he actually submitted to a competition over all others was a total hipster! Grandma shops at Urban Outfitters all the time! Where do you think she got that fly coat?! I can think of some Vancouver-specific trends that are far more annoying than the 'hipster' (hey guys let's go out to the movies in LuLu's and jogging coats! Then we'll shop the Robson boutiques in LuLu's and jogging coats! Then we'll do everything but jog in LuLu's and jogging coats!!)
post more. it's so disappointing when i view your page. i check it everyday. and always... NOTHING NEW. :( i'm trying to support you, but it's very very hard.
