early morning

this morning was one of the first days i've ever been satisfied with public transportation in vancouver. my bus actually got me downtown for work 15 minutes earlier than scheduled, which as any vancouverite will know, is unprecedented, especially for translink. and if that wasn't a blessing enough, i also happened upon this stylish young man!

this guy looks like he just woke up, threw on his clothes that he picked up off the floor, and put on his tina turner wig. Please have some FASHION SENSE people!! I'm looking at all these sites from Manchester, London and Stockholm which are so cool and these pictures are making Vancouver look like we might as well be Moosejaw.

i'm unsure. looks like someone forgot to get off the metrotown skytrain station.

Karl doesn't really know where to start here...hong kong hair, blazer and a bomber combo (like wtf here people?), SWEET LORD DIRTY DENIM, and those boots, sheesh.

But the real issue at hand here is who in the fuck drinks starbucks when cafe artigiano is one goddamn block away?

i think he's wearing diesels. eeeww

MOOSEJAW? HAHAHA
i agree with all the previous statements. this guy looks either honger or he just freshly stepped off the boat.

you're right. we should be worried about the image vancouver is putting forward to the world. clearly, the comments to just about every post, prove that vancouver is filled with nothing but arrogant, pretentious snobs.

everyone ought to be ashamed of themselves.

Guys today I had a traditional cappuccino at the Hornby Artigiano that brought a goddamn tear to my eye.

oh come on. stop with the 'political correctness'. a picture of some guy has been posted for the intention of illiciting responses about his fashion ensemble. arrogant and pretentious snobs? I don't think so. It was up for the judging. If you're not down with it, then join the activists against a world changing cause. This site is not for you.

>> everyone ought to be ashamed of themselves.

Yes, they should. Especially when they dress like that and pose for a picture that is to be posted online.

I don't understand. If someone is willing to pose for a picture well knowing that they're going to be posted online, why shouldn't criticism on what they're wearing be expected? Give me a break. This is a fashion blog.

there is a difference between criticism and insult. calling someone a "honger" or "fresh off the boat" is needlessly offensive. how exactly can you defend this comment as criticism of his outfit?

should vancouver ought be ashamed? i dont know. but the author of the anonymous comment above, has made a point. There is certainly something to say about the people of this city when they use this blog as a forum to judge others, rather than to contribute to a positive fashion-oriented community that this city seriously lacks.

you bring up manchester, london and stockholm, but take a look at their fashion blogs. you dont see this same negativity there...

hm, interesting argument and so forth. however, i find it terribly sad that you would all get into such a debate over a local fashion blog. give it a rest!

manchester, london and stockholm probably aren't as bitter about how "end of the world" they are, and how pathetic their street style is.

we know we suck. but at least if our street fashion blogs don't glorify people who dress like this we won't seem As pathetic...? maybe...?

sigh.
