The girl wearing the highwaisted skirt with the buckle looks nice, but is giving a picture perfect example of a disturbing current trend: girls feigning being pigeontoed when they are having their photos taken. It seems that this reflex, one mostly associated with Japanese schoolgirls, has made the move across the Pacific. This is not to say that some are not actually pigeontoed; I mean to point out that, okay, it may make one's legs look thinner, or something, but it also signifies making a bid for looking good in picture by making oneself look childish. In other words, beautiful, very possible intelligent young women intentionally making themselves look like little girls. What's happened to strong, mature women? Has anyone else noticed this?

great pics! I especially love the last girl in the navy blue with red shoes. She looks so pretty without being overly sexy or pretentious (sp?). Yay!

The pigeon-toed stance that many women seem to adopt when having their photo taken is indeed quite ridiculous. Personally, I blame Scarlett Johansson for its current popularity.

I love this girls style. As for the pigeontoed comment. This is news to me... I've always been pigeontoed. And I hate it when I get back photo's and I'm always standing like that. So its fashionable? Weird. I will still make a concerted effort to stand with feet straight! As hard as it is.
